    Trickster Town!

Do you want to be trickster? Well you should come to your local library to read Tricking the Tallyman. It’s a tricking book by
    S.D. Schindler.

In this book a tallyman comes to a town called Tunbridge in the 1700’s to tally how many people live there. (tally=count)
The tallyman gets tricked 3 times, but I’m only telling you the 1st time. The town thinks the tallyman’s only tallying for soldiers so they hide everyone but one person so the tallyman gets tricked and tally’s one person in Tunbridge, even though the tallyman was tallying for soldiers and government.

My favorite part is when the town tricked the tallyman a 2nd time, when they found out and thought it was just government the tallyman was tallying for. So they tricked him every time he tallied a new house. People from one family went to another family, to make it look like 50 people were in one family. The tallyman then tallied 1,726 people in Tunbridge, but the town still didn’t know the tallyman was tallying for both soldiers and government.

If you want to see how they tricked him the 3rd time, get this book at any library near your house!

I am happy to have read the book Tricking the Tallyman. The book was happy, exciting, and funny. I liked the book because it is not scary and it’s for all ages.

The title of the book is Tricking the Tallyman. I would like to thank the author of this amazing book, Jacqueline Davies.

This great story is very interesting because it felt like I was sucked back in time! I also liked the problem. I’ll tell you in the next paragraph!

The events that happened in the book are Phineas Bump and his horse Blue rode into the town of Tunbridge to take tallys of the people that live there. The citizens of the town tricked the tallyman twice! First it was because Boston (Mrs. Pepper’s son) says Phineas is taking tally for taxes. Then he says he heard it was for how many men to send to the new government!

My favorite part was when the citizens suited the animals as people to get a higher number! That is my favorite part because the animals look funny!

Will you read the book now? I hope you will! I loved this book, I hope you will too… if you read it!

Tricking the Tallyman was stupid because it was babyish and has no point.

I thought Tricking the Tally Man was very stupid and had no point.I also thought it was boring because all they did was trick him and run around town and get counted multiple times.
