    ONE GREAT ADVENTURE!

Do you want to know how a little boy tries to save his brother from a war? Then this book is right for you. The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg by Rodman Philbrick is full of exciting adventures in it. If you read one page you will not be able to stop reading.
This book is “mostly” about a boy named Homer who lives with his mean dad Squint and his kind brother Harold. Harold gets sold illegally into the war. Homer has many exciting adventures trying to find him and bring him back home.
My favorite part of the book was when Homer is in a Medicine Show. He plays the Amazing Pig Boy! It is funny when he snorts and the crowd shrieks with excitement!
If you want to know why the title is The “Mostly” True Adventures, then you need to read the book! You will learn some history too. You’ll be hooked every time you stop reading.

    We miss you at Scott!!!

If you like books about kids who make a big difference, then hop into The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg! I really love this book! It's about a boy who is separated from his brother after his parents death. His brother, Harold is sold into the army ilegally. Homer has to abandon his uncle (who he was staying with)in order to find his brother. He gets help from people such as slaves and crazy-tattooed ladies. You should try this awesome book! Now I'm a big fan of the author, Rodman Philbrick. I hope you try this book!
